Imagine a snow-covered winter landscape in the forest with snow falling. This is a great atmosphere for a sledge hut hike with children, friends or as a couple. During the hike, you can pass the time with a snowball fight or listening to nature – this is especially enjoyable for the little ones among us.

Once you arrive at the hut, there is mulled wine for the grown-ups and children’s punch for the little ones to warm up. When your stomach starts to rumble after the long hike, there is of course something to eat. How about a traditional Tyrolean Gröstl, a Wiener Schnitzel or a delicious Kaiserschmarrn to finish? After feasting, there is always time for a schnapps to aid digestion before the real fun begins: tobogganing downhill.

Hämmermoosalm, Gaistal – Leutasch

Suitable for families with small children, the walking time from the Salzbach car park is approx. 40 minutes.

A leisurely walk for young and old.

Rauthhütte, Gaistal – Leutasch

Suitable for anyone who can walk, walking time from the Rauthhütte car park: 1 hour.

The Rauthhütte has a natural toboggan run of approx. 3 km and once you reach the top, you can admire the homemade snow igloos.

Reitherjochalm, Seefeld – Rosshütte

Suitable for more experienced hikers, walking time approx. 1.5 hours.

The start is at the ski tourers’ car park at the Rosshütte, from where you simply follow the yellow signs. The start is a bit challenging due to the rather steep path, but after that it is a pleasant hike through the pine forest.
